In my previous article, I talked about simple ways to become intelligent, but did you know that there are more types of intelligence other than just IQ? It’s true, and according to psychologists, there are 4 types of intelligence: Intelligence, Emotional, Social, & Adversity Quotient.
Intelligence Quotient
Your IQ measures your comprehension and reasoning ability. Like memorizing subjects, problem-solving math problems, and explaining why this is this.
Intelligence is about how smart you are when it comes to academics, problem-solving, reasoning efficiently, and memorizing. (I’m pretty sure you all know what IQ is)
Emotional Quotient
Your EQ measures your ability to understand the emotions of others by being peaceful, respectful, responsible, considerate, & peaceful. It basically represents your character and who you are as a person.
Emotional Intelligence is not all about understanding someone’s emotions but also understanding your emotions. It’s about how efficiently you can handle your emotions with others and how you can use your emotional intelligence to understand others’ emotions.
Social Quotient
Your SQ measures your ability of how social you are with others by making a lot of friends and maintaining that network of friends for a long time. SQ represents how attractive you are to people.
Social Intelligence is pretty much about how you get along with anyone you meet and how efficiently you can make friends for life.
Adversity Quotient
This is one of the latest types of intelligence that has been discovered. It measures your ability of how you survive through a really tough situation in life without losing your mind.
This type of intelligence is about whether you give up in life when you face tough situations and run away from everything.
Which Group Of Intelligence Is Best?
Just IQ doesn’t determine how far you go in life, mostly EQ & SQ determine how far you’ll go in life. It’s a fact that a high IQ person with low EQ & SQ can be employed by a relatively average IQ person, but with a high EQ & SQ. Another fact is that people with more EQ & SQ can handle situations better than a high IQ person. As you can see, to be a better person doesn’t require IQ, it requires, EQ, SQ, & AQ. Developing habits to improve in all these areas will not shape your road, but prepare you for the road ahead in life. So not only one type of intelligence is the best, all of them are the best when you can use them the best.
