According to a Tibetan Proverb, “The secret to living well and longer is: eat half, walk double, and laugh triple.“ In many ways, this proverb is true and can reap many benefits in your life.
Eat Half
Eating half - eating less food - prevents you from becoming obese because obesity can cause many problems in the future such as diabetes, heart diseases, strokes, some cancers, and digestive problems. These problems can cause you to live a shorter life and to avoid these struggles, all you have to do is eat less. It’s that simple!
Walk Double
Walking double - walking and physically staying active - is a great exercise that keeps your body strong and fit. Being active through exercise offers many advantages, it improves heart health, better sleep, and better mental health and happiness. Possessing these benefits can help you live free of life’s struggles.
Laugh Triple
Laughing triple offers the most advantages than the previous two. Laughter is often called: a medicine for a merry heart. Laughing has been proven, to boost your immunity, relieve stress, add joy to life, strengthens resilience, improves mood, and enhances relationships in our life. Could you imagine that you can reap these many benefits just by laughing and being happy every day?
